It’s closing in, reversal of time. Soldiers of tin, shrinking the mind. The hippo has left me. The campus is empty. The nothing is coming. You better start running. I’m twenty, I’m ten, I’m five years old, fighting the gravity of a black hole. Everybody looks the same. Everybody knows my name. The bigger the sun, the bigger the bleeding heart. The bigger the bleeding heart, the bigger the shade. The darker the room, the closer the wonderland. The closer the wonderland, the farther we escape. Pineapple girl and double-tooth boy bring the light. But is it enough to keep out the night? Soft temperament. Wrapped in self-contempt. My legacy to you, unintentionally blue. We’re heavy feet on daydream sheets. We do things our way. We linger through the day. No place in Gaia’s rat race. We go visit the giant cat face. Escape from the tractor beam and die happy in a dream. Everything is down at the pabulum institution. Looking for a big brown torus of revolution. To go with the muddy waters. To go with the kicking beans. To go with the psycho mothers. To go with the rock star dreams. It’s the way out of this place when everything goes wrong.
